Laping Xu, MSN, APRN, NP-C, is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult Health at GI Health’s two locations in Brooklyn, New York and Lower Manhattan, New York. She is passionate about providing the best care to new and existing patients at GI Health.
Laping received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. She believes that a person is never too old to learn and enjoys facilitating her patients. She was back to school and earned her Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner from Saint Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. Laping continues her education to pursue her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Saint Catherine University. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Laping has worked in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, a hospital, and assisted living communities. In addition, she has worked at Saint Catherine University as a teaching assistant and an adjunct faculty in teaching undergraduate nursing students.
Laping joined the team at GI Health in 2021 and has special interests in providing care to people with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases, such as abdominal pain, acute diarrhea, chronic constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and liver diseases.
Laping enjoys walking, cooking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with family in her free time.
